Battle with Quetzalcoatl

Jungle Goddess and Ghost of the Jungle tensed at the top of the waterfall as the glint of green below them took on a slightly different hue. The twisting, lithe, body of Quetzalcoatl was attempting to sneak past them to get to the temple. With a scream of rage Ghost charged down the mountain side with Gaia rushing behind. Their hooves pounding the rocky path with each step, leaping any obstacles, with determination. They caught up to the great dragon just in time, rearing up and blocking his path into the temple. Quetzalcoatl gave a roar of frustration and attempted to maneuver past them, each time just barely being cut off from sliding past. The treetops were too dense for him to fly above them and slip inside and the passage he needed could only be entered from below the pyramid. Finally after hours of constant chase and attempted evasion Quetzalcoatl started to slink away. Ghost and Gaia chased him as far as they dared before returning exhausted to their cave near the waterfall. They had committed their lives to protecting that relic within the temple and nothing was going to stop them.
