Description

The HouseHeliosEstate received the pleasure of getting to bring the gorgeous Kulo to the farm for some training. Most of the grooms were quite delighted to see him and even seem to argue or race for a chance to care for him during his stay. Until they came to realize that he seemed to have a similar if not, slightly less violent, personality that Dreamer had. There was a resounding groan of despair from the grooms after this realization. No one wanted to have another Dreamer on their hands, after all enough grooms had been injured by the black beast, none were too keen on getting on the bad side of the gorgeous Kulo. Thankfully Kulo seemed to be a tad bit more patient and less inclined to snapping at people randomly. Annie was one  of the only people Kulo seemed inclined to like and he responded well to her gentle guidance. She was often seen walking him outside on the lead as the head trainer on the farm looked the sleek stallion over. Finally three days after his arrival Nancy one of the main training riders met up with Kulo in order to meet the beautiful stallion. Kulo had been grazing when she approached and had immediately lifted his head and snorted at Nancy.
Annie laughed.
"Oh really?" Nancy replied to the stallion with a chuckle.
Kulo only huffed in reply before returning to his grazing. He flicked his tail as if dismissing her in annoyance. Annie shook her head and then turned to look at Nancy with a grin.
"Well he seems to at least tolerate you. He charged Greg before he could even say hello," Annie giggled.
Both laughed as the image of Greg storming through the farm covered head to toe in manure and mud from the other day came to mind. Nancy was still laughing as she tried to reply.
"Oh gosh I don't think I've ever seen him so mad," she choked out between peels of laughter.
"You must admit it was spectacular, I mean he did a full dive out of the way...and then to faceplant then way he did!" Annie was clutching her sides now.
Kulo snorted and  glared at them, tipping an ear back in annoyance. Both burst out giggling again at the stallion's stare. Kulo seemed to heave a long suffering sigh and flicked his tail again.
"Okay, Okay shall we work on some training then?" Nancy giggled.
Kulo's head bobbed as if saying yes.
""I do believe he is getting rather bored," Annie stated with a smile.
"Well then that settles it, Annie get him all ready to go I'll meet you in the outdoor arena," Nancy said with a grin before walking up to Kulo and blowing his face, "Shall we get you going on that training we're being paid for? hmm?"
Kulo snorted in reply, looking bored.
Annie laughed softly before grabbing the stallion's halter and lead to lead him away.
About a half hour later after a good brushing down and getting all cleaned up. Kulo arrived in the arena wearing one of the stables spare tacks and the gold saddle blankets reserved for guests or special events.
"He's already had most of his ground work covered back at home, so I figured I'd set him up for some basic riding training before you went on to advance him into something more specific," Annie greeted when she saw Nancy eyeing the sky nervously.
"This might be a short session, that storm looks like it might actually reach us," Nancy sighed, "I guess we can move inside if we must."
Annie looked around at the sky.
"You should have a good  good half hour outside if you're lucky, even so I'll make sure the indoor arena is all set for you before I swing back to check on things," She stated with a tone of agreement.
Nancy nodded before taking Kulo's lead. With careful precision she lead the stallion around the ring watching him walk and and checking to make sure he didn't have the same terrible habit of puffing out his tummy when being saddled as Dreamer did. Kulo didn't seem to and she was glad to see that. With all the comparisons being made between the two stallions it was one she was curious about. Satisfied that the young stallion wasn't up to any tricks Nancy lead him over to the mounting block and swung on to his back quick enough to be sure he wouldn't step out of the way. Kulo bobbed his head and pranced in place, his tail lashing and ears back slightly. Nancy urged him out into the middle and began to work him through some basics. Kulo trotted happily on command and Nancy smiled, carefully working him through switching leads and was pleased with how easily he seemed to do each transition. The youngster seemed to have a natural potential for Dressage moves and Nancy filed that away for later. It was then that she aware that the storm she had been worried about was rolling in. Then just as she was preparing to stop Kulo and dismount a crack of thunder made the stallion jump and nearly bolt to the side. Nancy managed to maintain her seat and keep the stallion stilled.
"Easy boy, easy, it's alright," She cooed, "That storm moved in a lot faster than I thought it would."
Kulo snorted and pranced about nervously as more thunder rumbled around them. Lightning began flashing closer to where they were and Nancy caught a glimpse of Annie sprinting towards them out of the corner of her eye. It was then just as Nancy was starting to dismount that a bolt of lightning  struck just outside the arena. The resounding peal of thunder shook the ground and caused Kulo to rear up and scream in terror nearly sending Nancy to the ground for the second time within minutes.
Annie was shouting for her to hang on and Kulo was twisting  frantically, still rearing up as if to  fight the storm itself.
