The Breeding between the farm's viciously ill-tempered, but well-loved, stallion Dark Dreams of Late and the playful and pale mare Imperial was a long awaited breeding. It took days before Dreamer's nasty temper was cooled off enough to risk the beautiful Imp being released into a corral with him and even then everyone waited nervously on the fences. Like usual, Dreamer put on a show of attitude, snorting and kicking and prancing around Imp in an almost taunting manner. Imp seemed very skittish at first, kicking out at him more than once and bolting to the other end of the corral. Hours later the two finally warmed up to each other. Eleven months later, Blue-Blood-Runners Farm received a call from NorthEast-Stables informing them that Imp was about to drop foal. Within a few short hours Lonsophle arrived at North-East Stables just in time to witness the birth of Dreamer's son. The cremello dun colt was so pale his vibrant red peafowling looked almost like blood splattered on him. Because of this there was a moment of panic, everyone thinking that Imp and the colt were in danger for a moment before the realization sank in. The young colt thus earned the nickname:The Bloody Prince. He was given the show name King of Parasomnia as his father Dreamer's name was alluding to nightmares.
As soon as the colt, nicknamed Amir (meaning prince), was weaned he was brought home to Blue-Blood-Runners Farm. Amir showed a shocking amount of shy tendencies compared to both of his parents and was often seen bolting across the pasture after being harassed by the other yearlings. As the colt filled out and became an adult he developed a sort of eerie stare that seemed to spook the other horses. Even some of the grooms were unnerved by Amir's look. It didn't help matters that his father was the infamous Dreamer who was prone to random bursts of violent temper which more often than not ended up with someone getting at least scraped up from a fall. One groom (who admittedly was ignoring the warning signs multiple times that Dreamer didn't like him) was nearly killed when Dreamer did a 180 and sent the man flying into the side of the barn. Amir contrary to his father's violent temper was eerily calm. Almost as if he was constantly plotting something. His calm and intense focus made him an excellent learner.
Amir was oddly the perfect Liberty show horse. Because of his potions that gave him a second set of fore-legs, Amir couldn't be ridden properly. Every attempt to use a saddle failed for nearly two years. Though children or lightweight people could sit on his back, a special type of saddle had to be custom made to distribute the rider's weight. After the new saddle had been fitted and Amir was introduced to it the stallion seemed to be tolerant of riders. Amir didn't particularly like being ridden but would allow it.
Amir was the prized stallion of the farm for temperament and Liberty competitions. He seemed to excel in the entry level practice runs at the Farm and would be starting to actively enter how competitions very soon.
